1 - Compound Handling Services

The ongoing mergers, takeovers and collaborations in the pharmaceutical industry create the need to merge the various compound collections in order to gain maximum result of these exercises. Here, interesting challenges arise like the demand of sufficient resources to perform such an extensive operation.

For many companies, it does not fit into the corporate strategy to perform this in-house since it is not part of their core activities.

Specs acknowledged this already over 10 years ago. In 1996, Specs leveraged its experience in processing its own compound collection and began offering Compound Handling to third parties. The first project invlolved reformatting 200,000 compounds to be housed in a new compound store. Since then, Specs has processed millions of compounds for over 20 companies in 9 countries around the world.

These reformatting projects can be executed at the Specs facilities (Delft, The Netherlands and Cumberland, MD, USA) and on-site (in those cases where transporting the compound collection was unfavorable due to confidentiality, liability, insurance, etc.).

Feel free to ask for more information about our Compound Handling services via info@specs.net.
