|Plant Extract Library Launch 14th December 2015
For more than two years, the Dutch Centre of Expertise for Plant Compounds has been collaborating with a number of partners to develop the Plant Extract Library. Early 2016, potential customers and interested parties will be able to gain access to the enormous diversity of metabolites in Dutch horticultural plants. The Plant Extract Library will consist of more than 2000 extracts which will be made available to the agrochemical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry for their screening and product development purposes.
Specs, as one of the project partners with over a quarter of a century of experience in processing and handling chemical compounds for the life sciences industry, is coordinating the entire logistics chain in this process, starting from storage of the extracts at -80 degrees C to plating, handling and distribution, thus taking up a key position in this innovative project.
